Model ETS - Standard Transverse Extensometer

For transverse or diametral strain measurement.  Typically used simultaneously with model EAS axial extensometer for measurement of Poisson's ratio.

Our model ETS transverse extensometer is designed to easily clip onto a sample with its integral spring supplying the contact force while a built-in, adjustable support wire holds the unit in alignment.
Model ETS - Standard Transverse (Diametral) Extensometer

Model ETS - Standard Transverse ExtensometerOur model ETS features our rugged cross-flexure module.  This innovative design provides improved performance and durability over existing designs. Built-in, mechanical stops allows use through specimen failure.
Model ETS & Model EAS
All model ETS extensometers feature a full, 350 ohm, strain gauge bridge design and are compatible with most any brand test equipment.  We can install the proper connector to interface to most any electronics including Instron.  If your test frame or set-up does not have the required strain signal conditioner, we can supply a stand-alone signal conditioner calibrated with your extensometer. This will allow you to use a chart recorder, digital display, or data acquisition card.

All standard models meet ASTM B-1 and ISO 9513, class 0,5 accuracy requirements.  Each extensometer comes with a spare parts kit, a spare set of tool-steel knife edges, and a quality, foam lined, plastic case.

Standard models available in any combination of measuring range and temperature range listed to the below.   If you require a configuration not listed, please contact us.
